Student CRM custom fields

You can add over 15 types of custom fields to both the student and staff pages. 



To add custom fields, follow these steps:

Step 1: Select the "Settings" menu.

Step 2: Select the "Student Fields" or "Staff Fields" menu.

Step 3: Select "Add Field" in the desired tab and section.

Step 4: Select the "Type" dropdown and choose the desired field type.

Adding custom fields for students and staff is done in the same way. Most fields have the same settings options, including Field Name, Required, Help Text, Move, Delete, and Reorder. For more information on these options, refer to the appropriate help tutorial in the CRM and Custom Fields section.


Field Types

Text Field

The Text field is used for a single line of text, for example, for a first name or last name. This field can accept any characters, including letters and numbers.


Notes Field

The Notes field is used when you need more than one line of text.


Number Field

The Number field is used to limit the input to whole integers, like an ID number.


Decimal Field

The Decimal Field is for numbers with a decimal, like a dollar amount.


Date Picker

The Date Picker is used for dates.


Time Picker

The Time Picker is used for the time.


Country Field

The Country field will display a dropdown of countries worldwide for the user to select.


States Field

The States field will display all the states within the USA.


Toggle

The Toggle is used for a true/false input. The toggle is in the off position by default and can be toggled on by the user.


Phone Numbers and Emails Fields

The Phone Numbers and Emails fields allow the user to input one or more phone number or email address by selecting the plus icon. Both fields will then display a new dropdown used as a label. The options in the label dropdowns can be customized in the Settings.


To customize the phone number label options, follow these steps:

Step 1: Select the "Settings" menu.

Step 2: Select the "Customize" menu.

Step 3: Expand the "CRM Fields Options" section.

Step 4: Scroll to the appropriate section to make your changes.

Attachments Field

The Attachments field allows the user to upload a single attachment of almost any file type.

Step 1: Select "Upload" to choose the file.

Step 2: After saving your changes, select the file icon to preview the file in a new window.


Select Dropdown, Multi Dropdown, and Radio Buttons

The Select Dropdown, Multi Dropdown, and Radio Buttons all work similarly, allowing the user to choose an option from a list.

Step 1: Select the "Add Options" icon to add an option to the list.

Step 2: Enter the desired list item.

Step 3: Repeat the process to add more items.

Step 4: You can reorder the items or delete them by selecting the corresponding icons.

Step 5: When finished, select "Save" to save your changes.

Step 6: Refresh the page to see your changes if necessary.

You will now see that the user can select only one option in the Select Dropdown field and one option in the Radio Button field. However, in the Multi-Select Dropdown, the user can select more than one option.


Formula Field

The Formula field enables you to utilize data from one or more cells within the section and perform various mathematical operations on them. For detailed instructions on how to add a formula, refer to the appropriate help tutorial in the CRM and Custom Fields section.
