What are tracks?

Students belong to tracks, which are groups that follow a specific curriculum or set of courses. You can name them in a way that works for your school, for example:

  • 9th grade, 10th grade, etc.
  • Juniors, Seniors, etc.

Follow these steps to add a track.

Step 1: Goto Settings>Tracks

Step 2: Select "Add New Track"

Step 3: Enter the name of the track

Step 4: You can also enter a value in the "Order by" value

  • This determines the order in which track appear across the system.

Step 5: Enter the track’s "Short Name".

  • This is an abbreviation of the track’s full name that will appear across the system where space is limited, such as on the calendar and drop down filters.

Step 8: Enter the class capacity. These are used in the "Applications Report" to help you track admissions for this track.

  • The "Dorm Capacity" is a way to track dorm students from this track. For more information see the related documentation.

Step 9: Select "Create" to save your changes and create the track.

  • Repeat this process as needed to add additional tracks.
