Class attachments allow teachers to store and share class curriculum materials in the form of files or links. These attachments are associated with a specific class and semester, and can be cloned or copied to subsequent semesters if needed.
Attachment Types
Class attachments can be used for various materials, including:
Documents: Class syllabus, study materials, lecture notes, and worksheets.
Assignments: Homework, projects, quizzes, and tests.
Multimedia: Presentation slides, images for visual aids, audio lectures, and video lectures.
LMS platforms support uploading various file types, such as documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, e-books, images, audio, and video files.
Attachment Management
Step 1: Upload files by selecting the "Upload" option.
Step 2: Add links by selecting the "Add Link" option. You can include links to:
- Websites (e.g., Wikipedia, online libraries, learning platforms)
- Online meeting platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, Skype)
- Online file storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) for submitting assignments or downloading documents
- Audio and video streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube, Spotify)
Step 3: Provide additional details for each file or link, such as:
- Title: A descriptive title for the file or link.
- Note: A description or instructions for students.
- Link to Lesson Date: Associate the attachment with a specific lesson date (can act as a due date or the date when the attachment will be used).
- Pin Important Attachments: Pin important attachments to the top of the list by selecting the appropriate checkbox.
Step 4: To remove an attachment, select the corresponding "Delete" button.
- Note: When adding a link, copy the entire URL from the destination website, including the "https://" prefix.
Additional Notes:
- Class attachment files can vary greatly in size and may impact the school's account storage limits. Consult with the school administrator before uploading large files.
- The class attachment page is accessible to all users, including students, and is not intended for teachers' private use.
- This page auto-saves, and you do not need to manually save changes.
By leveraging class attachments, teachers can efficiently organize and distribute various curricular materials, assignments, and resources to their students throughout the semester.
