Student Vacations

Student can be entered in advance for one or more days and for one or more classes. When vacations are created in advance, they will be reflected on the attendance rosters, with the status automatically marked 'vacation.' The teacher can then see that the student is on vacation and skip their name during roll call.

  • Both excused and vacation statuses are treated the same way and are ignored in the grade calculation.
  • These statuses will then automatically appear on the attendance rosters.
  • Vacation exemptions assume that the student will be missing all classes for the selected dates.

Student vacations are located in the Student's "Exemption" page.

To add a student vacation, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to Main Menu > Students and select the desired student

Step 2: Go to the "Exemption" submenu for the selected student

Step 3: Select "Add New" button

Step 4: Enter the start date of the exemption

Step 5: Enter the end date of the exemption

Step 6: Enter a description for the vacation

  • Please note that if you don't include the word vacation in the description, when viewing all of the students exemptions, there is no way to differentiate between a regular exemption and a vacation.

Step 8: Choose "Vacation" for the exemption type

  • This will hide the remaining options.

Step 9: Select "Save" to create the vacation exemption
